Christians can be very "us four and no more"; decide who you are before you open your mouth in their presence for the first time; and if you get past all that, don't let anyone down, it'll be all over. Too many people wanna be the big guy (or girl); run you down, run you over, burn you out, let you know your place and control you, your thoughts, word and deed. But if you get past all that, learn to love unconditionally, (and recognize for the most part, though they make mistakes, their hearts are right and you can learn from and grow with each other) Love as Christ loved the church, gave himself up for it, (us), ask Him to give you a passion for us, them, you can be used to transform lives! The first being your own. Remember, the only perfect churches are the ones without any people in them. He tells us not to forsake fellowship. So let's pray that people would find away to get beyond all the walls and learn to just be with each other.
May be a bit much for a seven year old, but never too young to learn about the need to love unconditionally!!

For many people, our church is in our hearts. Our beliefs are private and don't necessarily fit any one denomination.
Interesting question. I think some peeps don't go to church b'c they just don't need the aggravation! And peeps that you ONLY spend 1 hour or 5 mins in the presence of can be classified in this manner.
I have searched high and low and found a certain bit of churches to be NON-MEDDLING - in fellowship and preaching and that works REALLY well for me as I was controlled to the inth degree in the 1st 12 years of my walk with Jesus.
So it's difficult IF people don't walk in love. I have TRIED to walk away from the church - but as it's HIS body - I've never been successful in that. Also, really bad things in my fam and I'm guessing that IF my fam STAYED with the church things would've turned out much different. But that's just ME! :)
